I’m a Central Otago photographer, artist, and teacher who’s slightly addicted to chasing good light, genuine moments and Coke No Sugar.

In 2013 I studied full time at Ara Institute of Canterbury, focusing on all aspects of photography from camera use, to elements of art, to post production. After convincing myself there was no way to make a living through my own creative pursuits, I went into primary teaching which was where I've spent the past nine years. My passion for photography never swayed though, and I even got to teach it at NCEA level!

After a health scare in 2024, I moved into relief teaching and began working towards becoming a self employed photographer and artist.

Now in my mid 30's and living on a cherry orchard in Cromwell with my partner Linden and fur babies, I do find myself leaning into my ‘Homesteader’ era. I’m a DIY girl at heart, a number-8 wire sort of lass, always ready for a new challenge and to take initiative.

I can easily say that this is the kind of ADHD you WANT to have on your special day whether it's big or small. It has helped in many situations where the wedding cakes needed to be made or decorated last minute, boats have needed to be pushed out into the water post ceremony, vows have needed to be collected from fathers' pockets' mid ceremony, and flowers needed to be arranged into bouquets pre ceremony!

So with the technical knowledge of a professional photographer, the organisation skills of a teacher, a Jill of all trades personality type (thanks neuro-spice!), and the people skills of someone who can engage 30 teenagers and stay sane...

It's safe to say, you're in good hands!
